Bearfoot Yoga & Wellness Center

Join us for this transformational journey into becoming a yoga teacher or simply understand the core principles and practices of yoga more deeply for your own personal practice.

In this training you will receive a Yoga Alliance recognized 200 hour Yoga Teacher certification in affiliation with Always at Aum Yoga School. The Always at Aum curriculum will be taught primarily by Gina Lee, owner of Bearfoot Yoga & Wellness center, with additional elements unique to Bearfoot Yoga methodology creating a one-of-a kind yoga experience.

Primary instructor Gina Lee is a 500 Hour level certified Yoga teacher. She received her 200 hour training in 2007 from the Integral Yoga Institute in NYC that was founded in the teachings of Swami Satchidananda. Integral Yoga is a very traditional Hatha Yoga based lineage that is also deeply steeped in spirituality and yogic philosophy. Gina then received her 500 Hour training from the Dharma Yoga Center in NYC in 2011. Dharma Yoga, founded and taught by Dharma Mittra, is also a very traditional Hatha lineage that contains a very specific approach to rigorous asana (posture) practice as a means to purify the physical body, to unleash the full potential of the spine and to aid in spiritual development. Gina has also studied with Ana Forrest, creator of Forrest Yoga, which blends traditional yoga with Native American ritual to bring about emotional and physical healing. She has also studied with Elysabeth Williamson, creator of Principle Based Partner Yoga, bringing the principles of sacred touch to both her personal practice as well as her teaching. Gina is also a certified prenatal yoga teacher, Thai Yoga Massage practitioner and student of Tantra. She has been a student of yoga for 10 years and a teacher for 6. She is also the mother of 2 boys, ages 6 & 9.

Gina’s unique teaching style encapsulates all of the modalities in which she has studied through the years and brings her broad knowledge base to the program to help each student discover their unique perspective, teaching voice and style. By delving into your own yoga practice fully and understanding your own strengths and weaknesses more comprehensively you will not only learn how to teach asana (posture) but also how to create and hold a space for transformational healing and how to facilitate that process through compassionate support starting with yourself.
