Join Gina Lee for a transformational experience unlike any other yoga teacher training program on Long Island. The Bearfoot Yoga Teacher Training meets and exceeds Yoga Alliance requirements for a certified 200 hour Yoga Teacher training program.
Bearfoot’s physical asana practice is heavily influenced by Dharma Yoga amongst others which creates a transformative but safe practice for many levels of practitioner. Each class is interwoven with threads of classical tradition and modern techniques to create a powerful connection to Self that goes far beyond the mat and enriches your everyday life.

Bearfoot Yoga methodology blends powerful traditional Hatha Yoga techniques and principles with Peruvian and Native American Shamanism to provide a holistic approach to deepening your relationship to yourself and the world around you.
Through experiential classes, lectures, and self reflection/meditation, you will receive a yogic education that applies to personal lifestyle as well as how to share yoga with others.

WHAT YOU WILL LEAVE WITH
Class Teaching Manual
You will receive a sequence matrix that enables you to competently and confidently modify and vary classes in a dynamic way that addresses spiritual development as well as tending to the physical and energetic bodies.
Varied Posture & Style Knowledge
Throughout the training we will touch upon several types of yoga. This will enable you to adjust your classes to the types of people involved in them. Need to tend to someone with an achey back or an aversion to headstands? No problem.
Confidence in Teaching
We don’t want you going out there blindfolded. We will show you how to confidently teach and lead a class of beginners or advanced students. Thorough training and teaching practice in the right environment will prepare you to share what you already know.

MEET GINA LEE, YOUR LEAD INSTRUCTOR
The training also includes time to take a weekend long yoga retreat immersing in a daily Sadhana (Spiritual practice) with Sangha (Spiritual Community)
Gina Lee E-RYT 500 and RPYT has been teaching yoga for 7 years and practicing for 10 with some of the most influential spiritual teachers and lineages in the United States. Gina received her 200 hour certification with Integral Yoga Institute NYC, a non-profit yoga organization established over 50 years ago by Swami Satchidananda. She then went on to receive her 500 hour certification with Sri Dharma Mittra in NYC (known in the yoga community as the teacher of teachers) Dharma’s influence and expertise in asana and spiritual practice runs deep and has influenced almost every prominent teacher in the West. She has also done teachers immersions with Ana Forrest, another powerhouse pioneer in the yoga community for her work in emotional healing, as well as with Elysabeth Williamson, founder of Principle Based Partner Yoga. She is also a certified Prenatal Yoga Teacher as has recently trained in Omgym Suspension Yoga. She has also recently graduated from the 9 month Jaguar Path Yoga and Shamanism program lead and created by International teacher and powerful healer Ray Crist.
Bearfoot’s training far exceeds the requirements for registering with Yoga Alliance (other trainings may just meet them) and the smaller class size and personal support received at Bearfoot is simply unmatched.
Upon completion of the program, all required assignments and mentoring sessions, you will be qualified to receive a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-10:00 PM
Starting on 9/14/15 and ending Wednesday 1/13/16
5 Weekend intensives are also included in the schedule.
The weekend schedule is Friday 6-10 PM, Saturday and Sunday from 10:30-7:00 PM with a lunch break.
The weekend dates include:
10/1, 10/2 & 10/3
10/16, 10/17 & 10/18
11/6, 11/7 & 11/8
12/11, 12/12 & 12/13
1/8, 1/9 & 1/10 2016
To receive your certificate 100% attendance is required. If there are dates or times that are missed due to pre scheduled vacations or illness the hours will need to be made up privately.
Minimum requirements for participation in the program is at least 6 months of dedicated, regular yoga practice.
An interview will be scheduled to discuss your experience and answer any questions you may have before committing to the program.
Tuition is $2600 tuition if paid in full by September 1st.
Q: Do you offer payment plans?
Bearfoot offers a payment plan that works like so:
+ 5 Payments of $475
Deposit of $500 due upon sign up to secure your spot.
Tuition covers class sessions and all yoga classes at Bearfoot Yoga for the duration of the training program.
Q: Are the any additional costs?
Additional costs for food and required reading will be the students responsibility. Books can be purchased directly from Bearfoot yoga. The total cost approximately $175 for all reading materials and manual.
